Privacy policy — Naipes

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Naipes is a card game. It has no accounts, no sign-up, no email address and no profile. We do not know who you are, and nothing in this app is designed to find out.

This policy describes what the app collects, why, and how to stop it. It is written to be read rather than to be complied with, but it is also the notice required by the GDPR and by the Google Play and App Store data disclosures.

The short version

What Why Can you refuse?
Anonymous usage events To fix the rules and the opponent Yes — the first screen asks
Advertising To keep the app free Ads: no. Personalised ads: yes, per partner
Purchase records To know you have paid, on any device No — it is how the purchase works
Your game record Shown to you, on your phone It never leaves the device

You are asked about the first two before you see a card, and you can change both at any time from Privacy on the menu.

What we collect

Anonymous usage events — only if you agree

If you say yes to "help improve the game", the app records what happens in it: which game you opened, which house rules you chose, how a hand ended, where you stopped, and when you tapped a card the rules would not allow.

There is a specific reason this matters more than usual for this app. Spanish card games are played differently in every household, and the arguments are about the rules. When somebody repeatedly taps a card our engine forbids, that is somebody telling us our rules are wrong — and it is the only way we will ever find out. It is why this exists.

These events carry no name, no email, no phone number, no advertising identifier and no device identifier. They carry the app version, the platform, your language and region, how many hands you have played in total, and the rule settings you chose.

The events are processed by PostHog, on servers in the European Union.

If you say no, nothing is sent. The app works identically.

Advertising

The free version shows an advert at the end of a hand, at most one every three hands, and never during play. Adverts are served by Google AdMob and by third-party advertising partners bidding through it.

You are asked separately whether you want personalised adverts. If you say no, you will still see adverts, but non-personalised ones — no advertising profile is used to choose them. Refusing personalisation does not remove advertising; buying Naipes Completo does, permanently.

Who those partners are, and what each of them wants to do with your data, is listed in the consent screen itself — the one Google shows the first time you open the app in Europe. That list is the authoritative one, because it changes without this page changing: tap Manage options to read it, to allow some partners and refuse others, or to refuse them all. You can reopen it at any time from the app's privacy screen.

Google's own handling of advertising data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Purchases

If you buy Naipes Completo, the purchase is handled by Google Play or the App Store, and validated through RevenueCat. We never see and never store your card details, your name or your billing address — the store does not give them to us. What we receive is an anonymous identifier and the fact that a purchase exists, so that the app can restore it if you reinstall or change phone.

Your game record

Hands, matches, draws and your best run are kept on your phone only. They are never uploaded, never sent to us and never visible to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.

What we never do

Children

Naipes is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. The games are traditional adult card games with no gambling, no real money wagering and no chat.

Your rights

Because we hold nothing that identifies you, we cannot look up "your" data — there is no key to look it up by. What you can do at any time:

Under the GDPR the legal basis for analytics and personalised advertising is your consent, which you give or refuse on the first screen — and, for each advertising partner separately, on Google's consent screen — and can withdraw at any time. Non-personalised advertising and purchase validation rest on legitimate interest and on performing the contract you entered into when you bought something.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the app will ask you again rather than quietly assuming your old answer still applies.
